Pediatric Psychotherapy

Children, Adolescents and Young Adults

Children and adolescents face a wide range of stressors in today’s world, and often times, they struggle to talk to their family about what it is like for them. Sometimes, it feels easier for them to talk with a trusted adult like a therapist.

I have over 10 year’s experience working with children and adolescents (ages 2-21) in both New York City and Connecticut. I draw upon a wide range of modalities to help children and teens build insight into their experiences and develop coping skills to manage their emotional distress and build foundational skills that will serve their mental health needs in the long term.

Pediatric psychotherapy looks different for each child based on their developmental stage, presenting concerns, and interests. Every session is unique, but it should meet your child where they are at and invite different elements of engagement, such as play, expressive art, music, role play and multimedia.

Pediatric psychotherapy should be both generative and FUN! My clinical style invites humor and warmth to foster rapport building with pediatric patients so that they can feel safe and open with me.
